Santa Barbara Ranch
Blufftop grandeur on the Gaviota Coast.
Land of natural virtues.
Working with the community and stakeholders, we successfully gained the entitlement and approvals from the California Coastal Commission for estate-home ranches on a 123-acre sweep of sensitive coastal land adjacent to the renowned Bacara Four Seasons Resort and the Sandpiper Golf Club.
Honoring land and legacy.
This estate-home project represented the first new entitlements on the Gaviota Coast since the Coastal Act was approved in 1977. The approvals were only possible through the thoughtful land planning, environmental protection, stakeholder engagement and extensive coastal access, which the project provided.
The coastal land is a former oil field, which required our expertise as we worked through this issue as part of the land planning process. Our work resulted in significant new public access in addition to the protection of an important California Sea Lion rookery.
